One of Lake Garda’s smallest hotels, Hotel du Lac has been in the Arosio family for two generations. It is set in a typical 19th-century lakeside house, full of atmosphere, peace and comfort. The ideal spot for a relaxing stay, steeped in the gentle atmosphere of the lake, and cradled with old-world charm.
Hotel du Lac is located directly on the lake and on the village’s narrow main street. The location is very tranquil, far away from the noise of the main road along the lake. Enjoy ✅ free-of-charge, the beach chairs, sun beds and beach umbrellas from the “Lido dei Limoni” Beach & Bar, only 200 meters far from the hotel. It is also possible to rent paddle boats, kayaks and bicycles. The hotel’s lemon greenhouse has been restored and offers a guided walk to know about the area’s citrus growing.
The bedrooms were recently renovated and are charmingly appointed with original period furniture. They offer airconditioning, a bathroom, a hairdryer, a safe, a telephone and a 26″ satellite-TV. Half of the rooms have a balcony overlooking the lake, the other half have no balcony and overlook the charming, bouganvillea-filled main street with its elegant houses.
Downstairs is the wonderful “La Bissa” restaurant overlooking the lake where traditional local and Italian dishes are served accompanied by genuine wines from various Italian regions. The hotel produces its own extra vergin olive oil, limoncello and bitter orange and lemon marmalades. In the historic cellar, wine tastings with wines from the Lake Garda area and various Italian regions are organized. A bar service is available all day on the ivy and kiwi covered sun terrace above the restaurant and in the lounge. Centrepiece of the lounge is the Schulze-Zwickau piano from 1890. Here you will also find a library with books in several languages.
Breakfast is served on the lakeside terrace facing east cathing the first rays of sun.
